Standalone Chapter

I'm utterly overwhelmed. Misfortunes never come singly. These past few days have been a streak of bad luck, and now I’ve just learned that what I thought was a June 1st release is actually happening tomorrow. The results have been poor, so I won’t talk about how many first subscriptions will trigger an update blitz—dear readers, please support me however you can. I’ll pull an all-nighter and post at noon tomorrow, writing as much as I possibly can.

My last book launched with eighteen thousand pre-orders and nine hundred and forty first-day subscriptions—a ratio of about twenty to one. This book launches with ten thousand pre-orders; if I can get two hundred first-day subscriptions, I guarantee I’ll finish it with at least a million words. That’s really not a high goal—fifty to one. Any lower and I truly can’t accept it.

Subscriptions are the foundation for any struggling author and the fuel for explosive updates! Please, I’m begging you!
