“Smack!”
Just as Wang Zheng was about to return to his bedroom, he suddenly heard the sound of a key turning in the lock. Next, he saw Bai Bing sneak into the apartment like a thief, carefully closing the door behind her. When she turned around and saw Wang Zheng standing there, she was startled, instinctively taking two steps back, her face filled with astonishment.

“You… you’re not asleep yet?” No matter how thick-skinned Bai Bing was, she now felt the guilty nerves of a burglar. It was bad enough to sneak away from the restaurant, but she’d brought Lin Xiaolei along. Wasn’t she corrupting the pure-hearted Lin Xiaolei?

“It’s not even nine o’clock—who goes to bed so early?” Wang Zheng smiled amiably. “Miss Bai Bing, you’re back so soon! I thought you wouldn’t return tonight.”

“How could I not?” Bai Bing forced a cheerful expression, though the muscles on her face twitched, making her look awkward. “Well… early to bed, early to rise, good for the health. I’ll head to sleep now. See you in the morning!”

Trying to maintain her composure, Bai Bing acted as if nothing had happened and walked toward her room. As she passed Wang Zheng, his sudden laughter startled her like a snake’s bite. She jumped back two steps, fists raised defensively, her face tense with vigilance.

“What… what are you planning?”

“Nothing.” Wang Zheng sneered, eyeing Bai Bing. “Simple—give Lin Xiaolei back to me. Otherwise… hmph! Tonight will become a day of humiliation you’ll never forget!”

“She… I already sent her home. If you want to see her, call her yourself!” Bai Bing glared at him, inwardly wondering what humiliating thing he intended. Did he want…? What a scoundrel!

“Everything should be reasonable. You took her away from me, so you must bring her back to me.”

“Reasonable? You—you just bully women. You’re picking on me, looking for trouble!” Bai Bing suddenly raised her voice. “Let me tell you, I’m not someone to be trifled with. I used to disdain fighting with you, but tonight, I’ll teach you a lesson, you arrogant man!” She assumed a fighting stance, determined to resist to the end and never allow herself to be humiliated.

Steel! Wang Zheng admired her spirit of defiance, but admiration aside, it didn’t shake his resolve to teach her a lesson. Besides, this woman had been unruly for too long; if she wasn’t put in her place, she’d never settle down.

A housekeeper must know her place!

Without hesitation, Wang Zheng stretched lazily, full of openings, and walked straight toward the combat-ready Bai Bing. She swallowed nervously; after all, she’d confronted Wang Zheng before—but had never won. Her earlier bravado was just empty words; who would have guessed he’d have no gentlemanly restraint? As he drew nearer, it felt like a bulldozer advancing relentlessly. If she fought back, humiliation would surely follow.

She watched Wang Zheng warily, glancing toward the door out of the corner of her eye. In the current situation, escaping to her old home for the night seemed a sensible choice. With that thought, Bai Bing suddenly retreated quickly, grasped the door lock, and prepared to open it.

“Smack!” The door swung open, and she had one foot over the threshold. Just as the bright escape beckoned, an arm wrapped around her waist. Before Bai Bing could comprehend what was happening, Wang Zheng lifted her and carried her back inside.

Bai Bing struggled with all her strength. Held in Wang Zheng’s arms, she forgot all about martial arts or elbow strikes—she simply extended her hands, her fingers gleaming with elegant nails, and clawed at Wang Zheng’s face.

Disfigurement? Good heavens, this woman was ruthless! The old saying, “the most poisonous thing is a woman’s heart,” was absolutely true.

Just as Bai Bing’s nails were about to scratch Wang Zheng’s face, her body suddenly tilted, and his arm around her waist vanished. Her torso lost its balance and fell backward—she was about to slam headfirst into the floor!

Bai Bing, at least, was trained. She didn’t panic—she withdrew her hands and thrust them down to brace herself, preventing her head from hitting first. But as she stretched out her arms to catch herself, she suddenly felt two hands clutching her ankles—and she was hanging upside down!

This wasn’t even her biggest concern. The problem was: she was wearing a skirt.

Summer business attire—a short-sleeved top and a knee-length pencil skirt. The fitted top wouldn’t ride up, but the skirt… Bai Bing kept her body rigid, afraid to move. Any movement might cause the skirt to slip down.

“Wang Zheng, you bastard! Let go of me—I’m angry!” Bai Bing stopped struggling physically, but her mouth wouldn’t stop. Her tongue was always the least obedient part of her.

“Oh? Quite the attitude!” Wang Zheng chuckled. “Like a boiled duck—only the mouth remains stubborn. Let’s see how you squirm, upside-down turtle.”

Humiliation! Absolute humiliation—the greatest in Bai Bing’s life. If this were a pull-up bar, she could curl up and maybe land a few punches on Wang Zheng’s face to avenge herself. But with Wang Zheng gripping her legs and waist, she couldn’t muster any strength. Her legs trembled, her skirt began to slip down, and Bai Bing ignored the danger of hitting her head, withdrawing her hands from the ground to clutch her skirt. Blushing deeply, she hung there like a salted fish.

She’d already sworn: when Wang Zheng let her down, it would be his death day! Understanding? Reasoning? Bai Bing no longer cared for either.

Seeing her hands leave the ground, Wang Zheng smiled—punishment began! He slowly lowered his hands, bringing Bai Bing’s head closer and closer to the floor. Since Bai Bing was busy holding her skirt, she had nothing left to support herself.

“Thud!” Her head struck the floor.

“Wang Zheng, I’ll kill you!” Bai Bing shouted, her face flushed with shame and anger.

Wang Zheng responded silently, letting his actions speak.

“Thud!”

“Ah! Wang Zheng, you bastard!”

“Thud!”

“If… if you let me go, I’ll bring Lin Xiaolei to you!” After three blows, Bai Bing’s resolve faltered. She realized the direction this was heading—she was only going to lose.

“Oh! I thought you’d keep resisting.” Wang Zheng laughed. “But it’s too late. I’ve found something even more entertaining.” With that, his arms lowered again…

“Wait! I… I’ll never dare again. Please let me go!” Bai Bing suddenly pleaded; her previous curses melted into a softer tone.

“Admitting fault?” Wang Zheng asked.

Bai Bing gritted her teeth, wrestling with her thoughts. Reluctant but forced, she replied with sincere defeat, “Yes… yes!”

“Beg me, or act cute! Let me see Miss Bai Bing weak. Then I’ll let you go—how about it?” Wang Zheng’s face twisted with a wicked smile, exposing his true nature.

“You… you’re just too much!” Bai Bing protested loudly, but she didn’t apologize. Instead, she closed her eyes, biting her lip in stubborn silence.

“You’re quite tough, aren’t you? Let’s see if your backbone is harder than your bones!” With that, Wang Zheng prepared to continue his punishment…

“Hiss—”

Huh? Wang Zheng suddenly paused—what was that sound? It seemed like someone was sobbing. It couldn’t be…? He looked down at Bai Bing’s face; her eyes were red, shimmering with tears, and her nose twitched as she inhaled. Her teeth clamped tightly on her lip.

Crying… she was crying?

Who would have thought tears would emerge? In some African tribe, this was their form of punishment…

Seeing Bai Bing sobbing, Wang Zheng couldn’t bring himself to continue. He kept asking himself: Was he too harsh? She was a woman, after all. Damn, this was unlucky! Wang Zheng suddenly raised his knee to gently support Bai Bing’s waist, then freed a hand to help her upper body.

“Get up—I don’t need your help!” Bai Bing suddenly ignored her slipping skirt, pushed off the floor, and flipped upright. Her eyes were red as she stared at Wang Zheng, full of grievance and stubbornness. She straightened her skirt, turned, and returned to her room. She didn’t close the door, and Wang Zheng peeked in to see Bai Bing taking a suitcase from the wardrobe and packing her clothes.

“You’re leaving?” Wang Zheng asked.

Bai Bing didn’t answer. She wiped her nose, finished packing, and carried the suitcase out of the room. She didn’t even glance at Wang Zheng, changed her shoes, and slammed the door as she left.

“What happened? It sounded lively just now!” At this moment, Su Xue ran out from the bathroom, followed by Chu Jun, her cheeks flushed and wrapped in a bath towel.

Wang Zheng shrugged, feigning innocence. Even the shameless Bai Bing had moments of vulnerability.

Su Xue glanced at Wang Zheng, then hurried to the balcony. She caught sight of Bai Bing walking out of the building, suitcase in hand, heading toward the streetlights and out of the neighborhood.

“Brother, why did she leave? What did you do to drive out the female spy? Amazing!” Su Xue exclaimed, clearly excited. She had no fondness for Bai Bing, even treating her as an enemy. Now that her foe was gone, Su Xue was naturally thrilled.

Wang Zheng scratched his head in annoyance—wasn’t this “achievement” a bit embarrassing?

What a mess!

Sleep—!
