Chapter 063: Rallying the Troops!
Blue Moon Hotel, with its seventy-two rooms, now had all ninety-five guests kneeling in the living room, on beds, balconies, and even in the bathrooms, their eyes full of mysterious longing.
As everyone came to their senses, the entire hotel erupted.
“Holy hell! Did an international symphony orchestra just show up?”
“No way! That’s Le Xiaotian’s ‘Victory.’ Who’s playing it? Their skill is ten times better than his!”
“Hey, Little Wang, get in touch with the hotel staff—I want to have dinner with the conductor.”
Exclamations and roars echoed throughout; they were utterly awed by Le Xiaotian’s supreme musical artistry.
In the corridors, halls, gardens, and studios, hundreds of hotel employees stood dumbfounded, collectively stunned, as if all humanity had been struck speechless.
In the hotel lobby, a young man crawled forward on his knees, asking, “Why are you all kneeling to listen to the music?”
A dozen staff members replied in unison, “Why are you kneeling to listen?”
Just then, a female server shrieked, “I forgot to record it!”
Everyone’s face turned pale. If this had been uploaded online, millions would worship it. Sadly, the opportunity was lost.
Yet, no one could muster the energy to get angry—the shock was too overwhelming for anyone to care about anything else.
In the kitchen, the head chef gripped a cleaver, his expression reverent. “Who wants to storm the Star Tower with me?!”
Dozens of kitchen staff, holding knives, carving tools, spatulas, and frying pans, roared in unison, “Charge the Star Tower, save North Sea!”
After their outburst, a burly cook suggested, “Commander Qin is at our hotel. Let’s go find him.”
A chubby chef scoffed, “He’s nothing. My Mei Mei told me at lunch: Mr. Le is now the supreme commander; everyone answers to him!”
The dishwashing aunt chimed in, “Exactly. Teacher Xiaotian is the chief conductor for this battle performance. My kid begged me to get two tickets—he said if he can see the show, my daughter-in-law’s matter will be resolved.”
In the surveillance room, the security captain spoke gravely, “Isn’t that Teacher Xiaotian’s ‘Victory’? He’s never sold the rights. How is someone playing his music now?”
A young security guard laughed, “Captain, you’re an outsider. Any piece becomes the conductor’s once they take it up. The composer is nothing; real conductors think composing is just basic skill, and focus on advanced arrangements. Even if Teacher Xiaotian doesn’t want to, other conductors can still use it. Didn’t we host a conductor yesterday? Bet this is his performance.”
The general manager, wearing black-framed glasses, entered from outside. Her voice carried authority but was gentle. “Xiao Li, there’s truth in what you say, but your musical sense isn’t strong enough. That performance was at least ten times more moving than online versions. Yet, you missed some details. Looking across all of Fama, no conductor or orchestra has this style or level. I dare say it was still Teacher Xiaotian himself conducting.”
Outside the honeymoon suite where Le Xiaotian and Chen Fang stayed—
“What? Mr. Le smashed things just now for inspiration?”
“Yes, artists are always mad. For someone as talented as Teacher Xiaotian, we can barely keep up with his pace.”
“I’ll go in soon and ask for an autograph—don’t fight me for it.”
“Fine, I’ll go post in the ‘Victory’ comment section online. You all let me shine there first, okay?”
“No way. Each person’s listening experience is unique. If we all post together, it’ll definitely stir up admiration.”
“That’s true—this is pure music with limitless ambience and open-ended chanting, so everyone feels differently.”
At that moment, crowds surged into the corridor from all sides.
Some wore suits, some work uniforms, pajamas, nightgowns—people of every sort.
Soon, the hallway was packed to bursting.
Seeing the chaos, someone proposed, “Let’s enter from the garden outside Teacher Xiaotian’s room?”
Instantly, over a hundred voices shouted, “That’s his private space—how dare you! Let’s teach him a lesson!”
Punches and kicks rained down.
Then the hotel’s general manager called out loudly, “Respected guests, please conduct yourselves. I kindly remind you: If you wish to wait, do so quietly. Teacher Xiaotian treats music and dance with utmost seriousness. If you disturb him and something untoward happens, Blue Moon Hotel takes no responsibility!”
Everyone shivered.
In the crowd, Bi Muyang was sweating with panic.
Just now, ‘Victory’ was chosen as the music for the upcoming battle performance. Was that Le Xiaotian’s own playing? If so, what should he do?
Qin Bufan, somewhat melancholy, patted him on the shoulder, saying nothing—just sighing and giving him a look.
What’s the point of fighting? From the looks of things, that was 98% likely Le Xiaotian’s performance.
And it was a playing technique transcending mortal limits. He would surely become a dancer beyond compare!
Nephew, give up. Chen Fang is destined not to be yours; she belongs to Le Xiaotian.
If you persist, our whole family will be dragged down. No one will even bury us!
In the honeymoon suite’s garden, amid the raging storm and flashing lightning—
After finishing his song, Le Xiaotian knelt, face twisted in pain, heart torn to shreds.
Chen Fang knelt beside him, then embraced him. “Don’t suppress it—cry if you must. A man’s tears aren’t weakness. You possess a rare blend of violence and tenderness; only by fusing them can you become invincible!”
Le Xiaotian growled into her chest, “Why couldn’t I save her? Why?!”
Chen Fang switched to comfort mode. “Stop blaming yourself. Sacrifice is inevitable in battle. Besides, she went peacefully. She was a good girl—I believe her dance soul will reach heaven. Don’t you think?”
Le Xiaotian said nothing, only sobbing. He was like a wounded beast licking its wounds.
Rain and wind battered them as they held each other in silence.
“Ah-choo.” Chen Fang suddenly sneezed.
Blushing, she said, “Xiaotian, I think I’ve caught a cold. Will you let me suffer in this storm any longer?”
Le Xiaotian still said nothing.
But he pulled away from her embrace, lifted her up, and strode toward the room.
As she was picked up, Chen Fang felt a wave of relief—he was finally calming down.
When they reached the bathroom, Chen Fang’s heart began to race. Remembering how she had bathed him before, her whole body flushed with heat.
Was he about to bathe her now? What should she do—refuse or accept?
While her mind was in turmoil, Le Xiaotian said, “You bathe first. I need to step out.”
A strange sense of disappointment flickered in Chen Fang’s heart. “Oh, where are you going?”
Le Xiaotian replied as he walked out, “I want to play a piece for her.”
